Delivered by Amjad Ali, available to book via The Learning Line.

This programme, developed and led by Amjad Ali is rooted in the latest EEF guidance. Our year-long online programme gives Teaching Assistants time to reflect, apply strategies, and build confidence gradually. Spreading sessions across the year ensures lasting impact, with live check-ins to maintain momentum and support real, sustainable change.
This is not just a one-off training - it’s a year-long professional development journey designed to create lasting change in how Teaching Assistants support learning.
By spreading the sessions across the academic year, we ensure:
Session 1: Effective Deployment
A deep dive into the five key recommendations from the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), with a focus on low-effort, high-impact practices that support (not replace) teacher instruction.
Live Check-In #1
A 30-minute online group session to reflect, share progress, and troubleshoot before moving on to Session 2.
Session 2: Collaboration with Teachers
Practical tools for communication, planning and reflection. Includes scenarios to build shared understanding of pupil needs and strengthen TA-teacher partnerships.
Live Check-In #2
Another 30-minute online group session to keep momentum going and support implementation.
Session 3: Supporting Independence
Explores common learning barriers and introduces evidence-based strategies such as scaffolding and prompting techniques to promote pupil independence.
