After spending years in the public sector, Dr Pippa Busch realised that she could make a difference in a new way... and so, The Child Psych was formed!
Born out of a desire to create a compassionate environment, where everyone is treated as an individual and care can be tailored, The Child Psych has built an experienced team who share a passion for supporting children and families.
The ELSA training and supervision is an initiative developed and supported
by educational psychologists, who apply their professional knowledge of children’s social and emotional development to areas of need experienced by pupils. They provide
on-going professional supervision to help maintain high quality in the work undertaken by ELSAs, thereby helping to ensure safe practice for ELSAs
and pupils alike.
The training covers:
- Emotional literacy
- Attachment and belonging
- Resilience and self-esteem
- Emotional regulation
- Grief and loss
- Positive psychology approaches
Each module is designed to help staff understand and respond to the emotional needs of pupils through tailored interventions.
